Widely recognised as one of the most prestigious film schools in the world, it is also the oldest film school in America, and offers around 1,300 places every year. The school has had many successful alumni in the past -- including directors George Lucas and Judd Apatow. Alfred Hitchcock was a professor at the school.     New York Film Academy

    • New York Film Academy has campuses in New York City and Los Angeles. The school is accredited and offers both short courses and regular one and two year BA and MA courses. The courses offered are intensive practical programs in Film Making, Producing, Screenwriting, Digital Filmmaking and Computer Animation. The school has around 350 employees, and admits approximately 6,000 students per year, with admissions running from November.
