School of Missionary Aviation Technology (SMAT), established in 1969, offers a Christ-centered aviation training experience. Located in Ionia, Michigan, SMAT is affiliated with Penn View Bible Institute and Nocolet Bible Institute. SMAT is certified with the FA and boasts a high graduate success rate.
Alpha Aviation in Springdale, Arkansas, specifically trains students how to be pilots and how to maintain planes. These skills are used to enable students to spread the word and teachings of Jesus Christ. Hands-on training includes preparing air crafts for flight, mission trips and transportation services.
The Missionary Aviation Training Academy (MATA), incorporated in 1998, is located at Arlington Municipal Airport in Washington State. Part-time and full-time students attending MATA enjoy a flexible schedule enabling them to achieve training goals in a short period of time. MATA's mission is to enable pilots to spread the word of God faster.
Pilots and mechanics are trained by Servant Wings for Christ-centered aviation. Students are able to work with missionary aviation agencies or work independently. Servant Wings is located in Vancouver, Washington, and has three instructors offering 12 areas of training.
