Alamance Community College maintains two campuses, the Carrington-Scott campus in Graham, and the Burlington campus in Burlington. Alamance offers a 43-credit diploma program in animal care and management, which qualifies graduates to practice as a veterinary assistant. A-BTCC offers a two-year associate degree in veterinary medical technology, which equips graduates to pursue careers as veterinary assistants, technicians, or technologists. Central Carolina Community College administers three campuses and numerous satellite locations throughout Lee, Harnett and Chatham counties. The veterinary medical technology program is offered only at the main Lee County campus in Sanford. The program at CCCC is a two-year course, and graduates may qualify as veterinary assistants, technicians, or technologists after appropriate licensing and certification.
Gaston maintains three campuses at Lincolnton, Dallas, and Belmont. Gaston's veterinary medical technology program awards graduates an associate science degree, and equips them to be veterinary assistants, technicians, or technologists. Gaston provides instruction in large animal practice as well as small, and provides a well-rounded degree with management and humanities courses fleshing out the core curriculum.
