Woodbury University has two campus locations, in Burbank and San Diego, California. It offers a bachelor's of architecture and a bachelor's of fine arts in interior architecture. Students receive a diverse education through several workshops in architecture, design and lighting. This university invites architecture majors to participate in semester abroad programs in Buenos Aires and Rome, summers in Spain, Germany, China, India, Tahiti, Latin American and the American Southwest, as well as exchange programs in South Korea and Germany.
This independent architectural institute is located in the Urban Arts District in the heart of Los Angeles. It offers a five-year architectural program. Study abroad locations include Tokyo, Switzerland, Italy and Mexico. It also has a summer program titled Making + Meaning which allows students to enhance their expertise on the three main areas of architecture --- drawing, making and constructing.
The Illinois Institute of Technology is one of few campuses in the Midwest with five-year bachelor of architecture accreditation. In addition, this institute offers minors in related fields such as structured engineering and construction management as well as specializations in digital design, landscape architecture, history and theory, design/build and planning. Students can choose from year-long or semester-long study abroad in Paris or Tokyo.
Located in Boston's Back Bay, this college not only has degree programs in architecture, but also in interior design, landscape architecture and design studies. Boston Architectural College is the only degree-granting program that requires students to earn credit through work study at one of over 300 design firms in the area. Formal classes are held at night, connecting theory and practice.
Established in 1978, the Savannah College of Art & Design is the only art and design university of its kind that offers a five-year professional master of architecture degree accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board. There are specialization programs in historic preservation and interior design within the major to enhance students' skills.
