Compose the footer. Write whatever external information you find relevant to your document into the footer. Place a number that corresponds to the footer before the text begins. For example, write the number "1."
Locate the area in your inline document that corresponds to that footer. Go to the exact portion of the document that corresponds to the footer number.
Type a "1" in that specific location. Use superscript, meaning that the number appears smaller and elevated in relation to the other text. This points the reader to that footer. Repeat this for all footer items.
