Apply to the school you want to attend for spring semester. Before applying, you should inquire about the admissions requirements and obtain preliminary information on how your credits will be transferred into the new program. You will be applying as a transfer student and will need to complete the application process by the deadline. Contact the admission's office of the school you want to transfer to and ask them about the application process and deadlines that will apply to you.
Request that your transcripts from your current school and any past institutions you have attended be sent to the new school. Contact your current school and past school's registrar's office and request your transcripts. They will direct you to where you can get a transcript request form, either online or in the registrar's office, and how much the fee will be. Fill out the request form, pay the fee and return it to the registrar's office.
Update your Federal Application for Federal Student Aid online with the school code for the school you are transferring to, so that you can be considered for financial aid at the new school. You will have likely missed the priority deadline for receiving most campus-based financial aid for the spring semester, but you will still be eligible for any federal financial aid you qualify for.
Arrange for your move to the new school, upon learning of your acceptance. You will need to find housing and take care of your current arrangements. If you are currently living on campus, you will need to clean your dorm or apartment and complete the check out process. Contact the registrar's office once more at your school and let them know you are transferring. Ask them if there is anything they need from you before you leave and make sure you update your address with your school. Return any library books you may have checked out and focus on your move.
Familiarize yourself with your new school upon arrival. You will need to go through everything that new students go through, including getting your student identity card. You will also need to register for classes.
