Scholarships for Navy Dependents

A variety of scholarships are available to dependents of both active duty and veteran members of the United States Navy. Other scholarship programs are offered to military dependents in general, including Navy families. These scholarships vary in eligibility requirements, so check with the organization offering the scholarship for full details.
  1. Navy Family Scholarships

    • The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation (http://www.dolphinscholarship.org) offers grants to children of two Navy members who have served for a minimum of 10 years in submarine support.

      The Navy Supply Corps Foundation Scholarship (http://www.usnscf.com) offers tuition money to children of Navy Supply Corps members.

      Navy League Foundation Scholarships (http://www.navyleague.org/scholarship) are given to dependents younger than 25.

      The Navy Wives Clubs of America present the Pauline Langkamp Memorial Scholarship to children of Navy members, based on financial need and scholastic achievement.

    General Military Dependent Scholalarships

    • The Grantham University Military Family Scholarship Program (http://www.grantham.edu/tuition/scholarships/military-family-scholarship) is available to dependents and spouses of active duty, guard, reserve and veteran members of all military branches and covers up to 40 percent of tuition costs.

      The Scholarships for Military Children Program (http://www.militaryscholar.org/) is available to children of active duty or retired military who hold a military dependent I.D. card.

      Spouses and children of service members killed in Iraq may qualify for the The Intrepid/Anheuser-Busch Fallen Heroes Fund (http://www.fallenheroesfund.org/Home.aspx).

      The Department of Education offers opportunities to qualified military children and spouses, including job training, degree courses and distance learning.
