The Arkansas Student Loan Authority awards the R. Preston Woodruff Jr. Scholarship to Arkansas residents planning to attend a two- or four-year college or technical school. The Governor's Scholars program provides 100 scholarship awards worth $4,000 each annually to resident high school seniors, as of 2010. Applicants must have a minimum 3.6 GPA, an ACT score of 27 and/or a combined SAT score of 1100. A Distinguished Scholarship is awarded to academically gifted students or National Merit Scholar finalists in the amount of $10,000. Recipients of both awards must be planning to attend an Arkansas college or university.

The Arkansas Health Education Grant is available to Arkansas students who are pursuing a career in the healthcare field. The amount of the grant varies from $9,200 to $24,200 as of 2010 and is based on the student's chosen program of study. The purpose of the grant is to allow Arkansas residents the opportunity to study at out-of-state institutions in programs that are unavailable in Arkansas.

As of 2010, the Law Enforcement Officers' Dependents Scholarship fund provides four-year scholarships to dependents of Arkansas law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. Both spouses and children who are Arkansas residents are eligible. Students must attend a college or university in-state. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA to remain eligible all four years.

The Washington Center Scholarship is a $6,000 scholarship available to Arkansas residents currently enrolled in an approved Arkansas college or university. Students serve as paid interns at the Washington Center in Washington, D.C. Sophomores in their second semester are eligible to apply for the award and must maintain a 2.75 GPA to participate, as of 2010.

The Higher Education Opportunities Grant is designed specifically for low-income students who have demonstrated academic achievement. Full-time students are eligible to receive $1,000 annually, and part-time students may receive $500 annually, as of 2010. Eligibility is determined by household size and gross income.
