The American Institute for Paralegal Studies offers four scholarship programs for outstanding students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in one of their paralegal degree programs. Merit-based scholarships in varying amounts are available to incoming students who have already earned at least a bachelor's degree and have a demonstrated record of academic achievement. Alumni scholarships of up to $2,500 are available to outstanding students who are nominated by a member of the alumni association.

The National Federation of Paralegal Associations and Thomson Reuters offer a joint scholarship program for paralegal students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership skills, service to the community and interest in pro bono casework. Scholarship awards are worth $3,500 and are nonrenewable.

The American Association for Paralegal Education sponsors a $500 scholarship award for students who attend schools that host a chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi, the national paralegal honor society. Membership in Lambda Epsilon Chi is not required to apply for the scholarships and awards are renewable.
