College Scholarships & Grants for Low Income Women

While there are many financial aid options available to women with low incomes seeking a higher education, according to the National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP), families need an income of 1.5 to 3 times the official poverty level just to make ends meet. This means that there are many women who do not meet the requirements for state or federal government financial aid because they are considered to make too much money. In that case, there are other options they can consider, including scholarships and grants offered by private and non-profit organizations.
