NYWICI Scholarship Program

• The New York Women in Communications Inc. (NYWICI) Foundation provides financial assistance to female students pursuing degrees related to communications, including digital media. NYWICI scholarships are awarded annually in amounts that range from $2,500 to $10,000. In order to be eligible, students must either be permanent residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennsylvania, or be attending an institution located in New York City. Students must have a grade point average of at least 3.2 to qualify for these scholarships. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible, though graduate students must be members of NYWICI. Scholarships.com Art Scholarship

• Scholarships.com, a website dedicated to helping students find scholarship money, offers an annual scholarship for students pursuing a degree in any branch of art, including new media and graphic design. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1,000. In order to be eligible, a student must be enrolled in an undergraduate art program (or be a graduating high school senior planning to enroll in an art program), must be a citizen of the United States, and must be a registered user of the website. Alliance for Young Artists and Writers Scholarships

• The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers offers very generous scholarships to American and Canadian high school students who submit their work to the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Students who earn a gold medal, portfolio gold medal or portfolio silver medal for their work qualify for scholarships through a number of art schools throughout the United States. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $18,000, depending on the level of student achievement and the participating institution. Some institutions even offer full tuition for a number of years to Scholastic Art & Writing Awards winners. Guidelines and deadlines vary by region.
