The Jerome Foundation offers a grant program that funds artists who seek to travel abroad in order to create new works of art. The money awarded by the grant is based upon the assessment of the Jerome Foundation Board. To become an eligible applicant, you must live in either Minnesota or New York City, be an artist in the field of film, dance or literature, and propose an artistic project that shows significant potential and demands travel to complete.

The Kansas City Artist Coalition offers an exchange program called LIAEP (Lighton International Artists Exchange Program). LIAEP's mission is to offer American artists the chance for artistic growth by funding international trips to foreign art residencies. The program grants a maximum of $5,000. To be an eligible applicant, you must be an American artist who showcases a high-quality portfolio of visual art and seeks to further his craft through international travel.
