According to the Scholarships Update website, Poland has 104 state (public) and 135 non-state (private) higher-education institutions. Public institutions are fully financed by the government, thus providing free tuition. Private schools charge relatively low tuition fees.

Compared with that of most European countries, the cost of living in Poland is low. Universities also offer many English courses for international students.
