The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship is offered by the Ohio Board of Regents to high school students. Qualified applicants must be ranked in the top of their graduating high school class and must be involved in community and civic service. This award is reserved specifically for the students with the highest GPAs and test scores. Several awards of $1,500 are given out per academic year.

The Ohio War Orphans Scholarship is offered by the Ohio Board of Regents to a child of a service person that either sustained serious injuries or died during battle. Qualified applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, must be younger than 25, and must attend an approved Ohio college or university on a full-time basis. The award amount is generally 80% of tuition and fees. There are three scholarships available per year.

The Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG) is available to a deserving continuing college student or high school student by the Ohio Board of Regents. Qualified applicants must meet financial requirements. Students must have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $2,190 or less, and a combined household income of less than $75,000 a year. The award amount is generally between $250 and $2,256 per academic year. Up to 100 student receive this grant each year.

The Ohio Safety Officers College Memorial Fund is offered by the Ohio Board of Regents to the spouse of child of a fire fighter or peace worker that were killed in the line of duty. Applicants must be Ohio residents. This scholarship is only available to students that do not qualify for the War Orphans Scholarship. The award amount is full in-state, public tuition and fees. Two students can receive this award each year.
