Obtain a nomination from your school. Inform your teachers of your interest in the PwC Aspire Scholarship. If your school participates in the PwC Aspire Scholarship program, the school principal can supply you with information regarding application procedures and requirements.
Inquire about eligibility requirements. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must demonstrate a strong sense of community through positive contributions in school and the community. Applicants must have a strong academic background and be in Year 13 at a school that participates in the PwC scholarship program at the time you submit your application. Students must also intend to study commerce in any major or dual degree.
Research the program thoroughly. Once you make the decision to apply, submit your name to your principal along with a statement describing why you should be considered for the scholarship. Your principal will provide you with a web address to complete your application. The principal reviews your application and determines whether your application makes the shortlist. If you make the shortlist, an interview invitation is offered. Nominations are based on school size. Schools with less than 100 students can nominate one student; two nominations for schools with 100 to 200 students; three nominations for schools with more than 200 students.
Attend the interview, if chosen. This is your opportunity to outshine the other applicants. Eloquently explain why you are the best candidate.You must be available to work at PwC during your holidays. Ask questions about working for PwC. Inquire about the relationship PwC maintains with winners of the scholarship and how the relationship benefits you after you complete your studies.
