Fill out the Children First application online and submit it. You can find this form by going to childrenfirstgrants.ca, selecting your province, clicking on "Apply," and clicking on "Application Form." You will be asked to provide the name and address of your K-8 child, and your child's school. You must also certify that you will pay the remainder of the child's tuition if she is awarded a scholarship.
Wait to see if your child qualifies for one of the scholarships. If she qualifies, upon notification you will have four weeks to reply to the offer, provide Children First with proof of income and assets, and enroll your child at an independent school. After the child has been registered at a school, Children First will pay 50 percent of the tuition directly to the school.
