Private Schools in Houston Where Can You Graduate Without Passing TAKS Tests

Because of the high-stakes nature of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), which students must pass to graduate from public high schools in Texas, many students and parents are looking for ways to avoid the test. Private schools may be the answer, since they generally do not require TAKS passage for graduation. Several such schools are located in Houston.

The school's campus, a certified Texas Wildscape, is located in a wooded area of Spring Branch. The cottage-style buildings are designed to harmonize with their environment.     Rose Hill Christian School

    • Rose Hill Christian School is a private college preparatory school offering services to children in preschool through high school. The school's mission is to give students a Christ-centered education as an extension of a Christian home.
