The Kaplan MCAT summer course offers intensive test preparation through small group workshops, classroom instruction, one-on-one tutoring and practice testing sessions. Comprehensive and motivational instruction is delivered by members of the Kaplan MCAT faculty. Attending the Kaplan summer course guarantees a higher score on the MCAT. If students are not satisfied with their score gain, they can study again at Kaplan for free.
The Kaplan MCAT summer course is provided at a campus setting in Boston or San Diego. Students have the choice of registering for the course with or without housing and a meal plan. For Boston students who choose the housing option, they stay in four-bedroom suites in an apartment overlooking the Charles River, minutes from classes. Those in San Diego stay in four-bedroom suites on the Eleanor Roosevelt College campus of the University of California San Diego. Meal plans for each site include breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Kaplan MCAT summer course runs over six weeks and includes over 300 hours of testing preparation. Students receive daily science and verbal reasoning instruction. Every weekday, small group recitations are held. One-on-one tutoring is available twice a week. Guest speakers and medical school admissions experts present weekly. Finally, students are afforded the opportunity to take computer-based MCAT practice tests, held under "test day" conditions. Between classes and sessions, students are given periods of free time.
If attending the summer course is not in your area, budget or schedule, Kaplan offers additional methods in preparation of the MCAT. Virtual comprehensive courses are available. The online courses include real-time faculty instruction with a wide variety of class times. You can also practice your MCAT testing skills with online examinations. Numerous online resources are available. Best of all, the courses are offered year round.
