Students who wish to study abroad but cannot afford the time and/or expense of a longer program may be interested in short-term summer courses in Europe. There are a variety of class options available for students in all fields and in many different countries. Disciplines include business, art, liberal arts, language and more. Some courses are as short as three weeks.
  1. ESCP Europe Campus London

    • What is known today as ESCP Europe was founded in Paris in 1918 and has since grown to become one of the largest educational institutions in Europe, with campuses in Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin and Torino. It offers business and management courses with an international focus.

      The ESCP Europe London campus hosts three-week summer classes that combine lectures, visiting guests and group projects along with management fundamentals and social networking.

      There are three courses that run at the same time, though all students will undergo general management training the week prior to their selected class.

      The International Management class teaches branding, strategy and human resources as applied to international business and management. The Finance in London course instructs students on all aspects of the financial world and provides an understanding of financial markets, products and services. The Marketing in Practice class discusses marketing and marketing communications as applied to European business practices and covers such topics as integrated marketing, advertising, relationship management, luxury brands and more.

    American Fine Arts Festival Summer Music Courses in Europe

    • Music students may be interested in the American Fine Arts Festival (AFAF) Summer Music Courses in Europe. The program offers both a 10-day and 14-day program, each taught by experience international instructors. The programs are interconnected and are held for one week in Weimar, Germany at the Liszt School of Music. Participants also spend time traveling and those on the first leg have the option to visit Salzburg, Austria, Nuremberg, Germany and the Neuschwanstein Castle. Students on the second leg may elect to visit French cities such as Strasbourg, Rheims, Paris and the palace of Versailles.

      The summer courses incorporate daily mentoring, private lessons and classes in music history and theory. Students will also participate in chamber music ensembles, recitals and master classes.

      Global Learning Semesters' Summer in Paris: French Language classes are an abbreviated version of its traditional school-year offering.
