Instructions

    • 1

Select a fabric of your choice whether it be red silk, black velvet or any other variation of texture and color. Measure out each sheet of fabric at 90 inches by 90 inches.

    • 2

Lay one of the sheets with the print side or brightly colored side facing down.

    • 3

Layer approximately 1 inch of cotton batting over the entire surface of the fabric sheet.

    • 4

Layer the second sheet of fabric over the batting, making sure the print or colored side is facing up.

    • 5

Keep the fabric and batting together and insert push pins into the corners to keep it adhered in place. Put a push pin in the center of each side as well.

    • 6

Sew the edges of the pinned fabric together, moving slowly and carefully with the sewing machine. Don't move too fast as the large size of the fabric may prove difficult to work with.

    • 7

Spread the large blanket, once the edges are sewn, over your king-sized bed. A king bed's dimensions are ordinarily 76 by 80 inches. The larger size of the blanket allows for the edges to hang decoratively over the edges of the bed.
