Human Reproductive System Crafts

Crafts can be effective for learning almost every subject, including the reproductive system and reproductive health. Involving students in creating their own projects on what can be an embarrassing subject can help ease any awkwardness in a classroom setting. Because these projects are so visual, students will have a mental picture that will be easier to remember during tests and quizzes.
  1. Reproductive System Puzzle

    • When students know where reproductive organs are located, the whole system is easier to understand.

Print out a black and white diagram or illustration of the female or male reproductive system. Have students color each section and label them with names and notes. Cut out the parts, and mix them up. Now try to put them back together correctly.

    Reproductive System Board Game

    • This is the end and the winning milestone.

Create a board game with a path from beginning to end. The game will end with a fertilized egg. Create milestones on the path with what happens from sex to conception. Give some of the spaces a question mark. Create cards with different questions concerning reproductive health and have players answer a question when they land on a question mark space. Have each player move his piece, which can be as simple as a bean or glass bead, according to a dice roll. The person who gets to the end wins.

    Reproductive System Flash Cards

    • Black and white images or color images can be used for these flash cards.

Print out images of reproductive organs and other images for students to learn. Use a glue stick to glue them onto index cards. Write down the name and the details about the image on the back. This is a good game to use to study for a reproductive health test or a class activity if each student creates her own set.
