How to Skip Kindergarten

Kindergarten is a grade level below the first grade. While kindergarten is meant to help children develop social and educational skills, in all but 14 states kindergarten is not mandatory or a legal obligation for parents. To have your child skip kindergarten in one of the states that do not require kindergarten attendance, simply do not enroll the child in school. If you live in one of the 14 states that do mandate kindergarten attendance, the requirements for your child to skip this grade vary from state to state.
