Purchase print dot or print dash paper. Both types of paper have double-wide lines, which are divided in half by either dots or dashes. Use this paper to create your own handwriting worksheets.
Draw dots in the shape of letters and have kids connect the dots to form the letters. Make one line of dot letters for each letter of the alphabet.
Use the connect the dot method to spell out full words. This will help kids practice connecting letters with handwriting.
Use a black marker to start each line of the paper with a full word. Have kids practice writing that word out repeatedly along the rest of the line, this time without the aid of dotted letters.
Laminate worksheets, and have kids work on them with dry-erase markers. This will make it easy for kids to learn by repeating the handwriting exercises without creating paper waste.
