Draw a large letter T on your paper.
Write "X" above the left cross stroke of the T and then write "Y" above the right cross stroke.
Write your x-coordinates in the left hand column of your chart, under the cross stroke. For example, you may have x-coordinates of 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Plug your x-values into your function to get the corresponding y-values, then write those values in the right hand side of the chart. For example, if your function is y=5x, then the first y-value in this example is 5 * 1 = 5.
Draw an x-y axis on your graph paper, and then label the axes appropriately. In this example, label the x-axis from 0 to 5 and the y-axis from 0 to 20.
Plot the points from your T-chart on your x-y axis. In this example, plot (1,5), (2,10,), (3,15), (4, 20).
