How to Make Cute Pep Rally Shirts

Creating your own t-shirts for pep rallies is a fun way to show your school spirit and attract attention from the crowd. Using your school's name, colors and mascot, you can make shirts that both display your individual creativity and show support for your team. Grab a group of friends, pool your best ideas, and get creative. Designing a shirt is easy with everyday products found at craft stores or around your house, and requires little time. You might end up having just as much fun making the shirts as you will wearing them.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase iron-on letters and numbers to spell out the name of your school, team or the year you graduate.

    • 2

Apply the letters or numbers by arranging them in the correct order and placing them face down on the shirt. Use a flat surface to insure precision.

    • 3

Press the letters or numbers into the t-shirt for approximately 15 seconds using a hot iron. Unplug the iron and place it to the side when the letters or numbers are firmly attached to the shirt. Remove the backing from the letters.

    • 4

Use fabric paint and stencils to further personalize the t-shirt when the letters or numbers have cooled. Adding your name, designs, or even just other colors can bring the shirt to life.

    • 5

Apply glitter glue to add extra designs or sayings to the shirt after the fabric paint has dried. Write sayings like "Go team!" or funny expressions in nice handwriting. Allow the glitter glue to dry for at least one hour before moving your shirt.
