Hearts are found many places during February as a symbol of Valentine's Day. Decorate your bulletin board with a healthy heart theme in honor of the holiday. Cut out heart shapes on red, white and pink construction paper and label each one with tips for keeping your heart healthy, such as "Exercise every day," or "Eat plenty of fiber." Arrange the hearts randomly on the bulletin board. Title the bulletin board "We Love our Hearts" or "Happy and Healthy Hearts."
February is children's dental health month, so create a bulletin board that focuses on students teeth. Take close-up pictures of several students' smiles and post them on the board. Be sure to include students of all ages so each grade level feels included in the display. Use tooth-shaped cutouts and write tips for keeping teeth healthy on them, such as "Be sure to floss every day," or "Avoid sugary snacks." Include the title "Healthy Smiles Look Good Up Close."
Winter is a time when illnesses become more prevalent, so promote wellness with a bulletin board that provides tips for staying healthy. Create large snowmen and a snowy landscape out of white paper. Attach several large snowflakes all over the bulletin board. Write tips for staying healthy in the winter on the snowflakes, such as "Wash your hands often," or "Get lots of rest." Label the bulletin board with the title "It's Snow Secret How to Stay Healthy."
The Super Bowl is held in early February, and is a good opportunity to create a bulletin board with a sports safety theme. Make a large football field with green paper as the background. Cut out football helmets to attach to the bulletin board and write tips for staying safe while playing sports, such as "Wear a helmet and protective gear," and "Drink plenty of water." Title the board "Super Sports Safety."
