Research online schooling options to find programs that are accredited by your state. You want to be certain that the credits earned will be transferable to colleges and universities. You'll also want to be sure that any credits earned will be transferable to a traditional high school should you want to attend.
Inquire about scholarship opportunitues and financial aid if the program you choose is not free. Many states offer free virtual classes to their residents and you may want to check into those programs before selecting one where you will have to pay.
Select a curriculum. For most virtual high schools, you may choose to enroll full-time or take just a few classes throughout the year. You also may be able to get a head start on your college major by taking advanced courses not typically available through a traditional high school.
Complete all coursework as required. Even though you're taking courses at home, there still will be homework, essays and tests.
