Enroll in an online high school such as the Minnesota Online High School or MNOHS. Tuition is free if you enroll full-time. The graduation requirement is 21.5 credits. If you have already earned high school credits, you can transfer some of them. Speak to a MNOHS counselor to find out which classes you can transfer. You must be a resident of Minnesota to enroll.
Consider enrolling in homeschooling through the Minnesota Department of Education to receive a Minnesota High School Diploma from home. Parents of a child homeschooled in Minnesota must submit a Minnesota Compulsory Instruction Report each year before October 1 to the district superintendent in your area. Join a Minnesota homeschooling association such as the Minnesota Homeschoolers' Association for newcomer homeschooling support.
Complete a High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) or GED online through online high schools such as Excel High School. Enrollment in its HSED program costs $299 plus shipping and handling fees. The program includes guides that will prepare you for the HSED exams. There are five core subject areas you must study and complete testing in, followed by a final written essay. A high school diploma will be awarded upon successful completion of all of the exams. The entire program can last only a matter of a few weeks dependent upon how much time and effort you put into it.
