How to Turn in Transcripts if I'm Home Schooled

A high school transcript provides a detailed record of a student's high school career, including subjects studied, grades earned and extracurricular activities. Students who complete high school as home-schooled students must receive a transcript just as students who study in public or private schools do. When submitting an application to a college or even a potential employer, a home-schooled student should expect to submit a transcript with other documents as part of the application process.

Create a current transcript, if necessary. A complete transcript includes each grade of high school, courses completed and grades earned for each course. Include any home-schooling sports activities and other extracurricular study or club activities for each high school grade level. View a sample transcript to use as a guide in making your transcript, if necessary. A parent must sign and date the transcript upon completion of high school.
