Keep an accurate daily log. Things like attendance and assignment scores should be noted, so your log book can be a useful tool when creating progress reports later.
Open a new blank document in Microsoft Word.
Give your document a title such as "Progress Report 2011-2012" or "Progress Report for Billy Smith: 2011-2012."
Select "Table" from the toolbar at the top of the window, highlight "Insert" with your cursor, and click "Table."
Give your table six columns, and the rows should equal one more than the amount of subjects you teach for homeschooling. For example, if you teach seven subjects, you will need eight rows. Click "OK" when you are finished.
Drag the square on the bottom right corner of the table to resize your table.
Label the first row from left to right as follows: 1st Quarter, 2nd Quarter, 3rd Quarter, 4th Quarter, Final Grade.
Label the first column from top to bottom with the subjects you teach in homeschooling.
Enter the correct grades in their corresponding boxes.
Move the cursor below the table and create a title for the section such as "Comments" or "Notes." Use this section to supply any notable comments regarding behavior, strengths and weaknesses.
