A great aspect about using a software program for writing is that it allows the writer to be consistent. Whether for a class, a job or otherwise, the text can be made consistent throughout any document. Fractions written in other mediums are composed different ways. For example, the numbers can be written with numerator on top and the denominator on bottom with a horizontal line (_) separating them. Or, they can be written next to each other with a slash mark (/) between them. Formatting fractions in a software program should be set up prior to writing a document.
