Affordable Culinary Schools

Some culinary schools offer their programs at a fixed, flat rate, while others, usually those that are an arm of a community college, charge tuition by the year or by the semester. The average cost of a culinary degree, as of 2011, is in the mid-$20,000 range, with some cordon bleu schools running much higher. Generally, uniforms and equipment are extra. The good news is that some schools offer scholarships and most accept government financial aid.
