AHDI Certified Medical Transcription Schools

The success of entry-level medical transcriptionists depends on the quality of education that they receive. Consider enrolling in one of the many training programs that are approved by the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity or AHDI.

Together with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), AHDI has formed the Approval Committee for Certificate Programs (ACCP), which certifies medical transcription schools that have met AHDI’s curriculum and educational programming standards.
  1. Allied Medical School

    • In addition to their AHDI certification, Allied Medical School is accredited by DETC or the Distance Education and Training Council. Students are trained through five individual online modules (equal to 425 hours of study), which cover subjects like medical terminology, transcription regulations and medical transcription (MT) technology. Graduates will be prepared for AHDI’s Registered Medical Transcriptionist (RMT) exam and they will also receive career assistance through the school’s Career Pathways database, according to Allied Medical School.
