How to Obtain a Copy of Your Georgia GED

With all the studying and preparation that went into obtaining your GED diploma in Georgia, you are now ready to reap the benefits of your hard work. It may be that an institution has requested to see your GED transcripts, or that you would simply like an extra copy of your diploma to display on your wall. If so, you can obtain these documents through the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education.

  Fill out a GED Transcript/Diploma Request Form. Indicate whether you would like a GED transcript, GED diploma or a miniature GED diploma.

  Include a cashier's check, company check or money order for the appropriate fee. As of 2010, the fee is $5.00 for a transcript and $8.00 for a diploma or a miniature diploma.

  Mail your request form and payment to: Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education, Office of Adult Literacy/GED Testing Service, 1800 Century Place, Suite 300-B, Atlanta, Georgia 30345. Walk-in requests are also accepted Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
