The General Educational Development Diploma or GED typically is considered equivalent to a high school diploma. There are five tests that make up the GED exam and you must pass them all. In Georgia you must be at least 16, not enrolled in a regular high school and must not have graduated from high school to qualify to take the exam. You also must be a resident of the state.
