Verify your eligibility to apply for the GED waiver. In most states, students must be between the ages of 16 to 18 years old and not be presently enrolled in any diploma-based program.
Contact a GED testing center or educational facility in your area and inquire about the steps needed to obtain a GED waiver. Some facilities provide the waiver form online, while others might require students to retrieve the form at a local GED office.
Download, if available online, read and print the waiver form. Some sites offer the form in PDF format.
Locate supporting documents. You can submit a copy of your driver's license, birth certificate, state or government-issued identification or passport for age verification. Most programs require a parent or guardian's signature on the waiver form for students under 18 years old. You must also submit a signed withdrawal verification statement from the superintendent or other designated school administrator.
Submit the waiver and supporting documentation. Drop off the paperwork in person or mail it to the address listed on the form.
