Pull ups are only executed by male Marines. Tthe process is based on four steps: while crossing the legs and holding your body weight on your arms, grasp the horizontal bar, pull up until the chin is above the bar, then allow the arms to let yourself down to the release position, then repeat the process. During the semi-annual evolution, passing the test requires a minimum of three iterations.
Stomach crunches are executed by both male and female Marines. The process is based on a preparation position plus two steps. While lying on your back, position your feet flat on the ground and place your hands/arms behind your head. Then, holding this position, lift your upper body up until your elbows touch your knees, then allow your stomach to let your body back to the rest position, then repeat the iteration. In order to pass the semi-annual PFT test, the minimum reps are set at 50 within two minutes.
The three-mile run is executed to both male and female Marines. The process is typically executed on a flat parade ground, or on a formal track venue, although depending on the particular Marine installation, you may be required to run cross-country. In order to pass the PFT test, male Marines must traverse the course in 28 minutes, while female Marines must complete the test in 31 minutes.
