The Fitzwilliam Institute offers four programs in event management. The Diploma in Event Management with PR, Eco-Events, Wedding Planning and arranged Work Experience modules include courses in event management planning. Subjects covered include event coordination, event logistics management, marketing, budget planning, risk management and corporate event management. Public relations is also highly emphasized in this course, and the coursework includes the principles of PR, social media, PR strategy and PR practices. This course lasts for between 12 weeks to 1 year, depending on whether you pursue one of the regular diploma or the advanced diploma program.

The Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education offers a certification program in public relations and event management, and it is a one-year course, with a two-week on-site work training session during the second term. Coursework includes public relations, behavioral studies, event production, photography, communications and an optional mathematics course. Students will also learn the following skills: sales promotion, event organization, publicity and management. Students will receive a FETAC Level 5 Award in Business Studies upon completion of the course.

The Communications and Management Institute offers a 30-week course. Coursework includes event management fundamentals, human resource management, quality assurance, risk management and project management. This diploma is accredited by the Institute of Commercial Management and the Further Education Training Awards Council as a Level 6 Component Award in Event Management. Students must be 18 or older, and there are no prerequisites to start the program.
