Schools for Bodyguards

Bodyguard schools attract individuals with military and law enforcement backgrounds, as well as citizens interested in providing security to corporate executives, celebrities or families who need personal protection. In bodyguard school, students learn about interrogations, how to disarm weapons, and what to do in the event of a motorcade ambush.

    Center for Advanced Security Studies

    • The Center for Advanced Security Studies offers three training tracks for aspiring bodyguards. The one-month long immersion program takes students to Florida and South America for intensive training that prepares graduates to enter the personal security industry. Prospective students who want to work as private security providers in locations such as Iraq and Afghanistan can take a 14-day course for high-risk tactical operators. A tactical shooting program teaches instinctive shooting and situational awareness skills. The training programs use lectures and demonstrations to teach skills to students, who must then demonstrate their ability to carry out tasks. Topics covered in the bodyguard training programs include reconnaissance, counter-surveillance, criminal profiling, leadership and executive protection. Tuition for the training courses includes meals, accommodations and incidental fees; the high-risk tactical operator and tactical shooting courses take place in Florida.
