There are a number of colleges located in the Loop. These schools include MacCormac College, Westwood College, City Colleges of Chicago, Harold Washington College, Everest College and Robert Morris College. All of these schools are within 1/2 mile of the Loop. These schools offer a wide variety of courses and majors. For example, Everest college offers dental assistant, medical assistant and pharmacy technician programs.
Several universities are situated in the Loop. These include Argosy, National Louis University, DePaul University and Roosevelt University. Each of these institutions may be found less than one mile from the Loop. Some of the available degree plans at these universities include accounting, biochemistry and computer science. Student's can obtain Associates, Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Doctorate's may also be available in some disciplines.
There are several schools around the Loop dedicated to fine arts programs. These include The Harrington College of Design, the International Academy of Design and Technology and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Each of the schools is less than 1/2 mile from the Loop. Majors that can be found at these schools include design, animation, painting, music and interior architecture.
There are two schools dedicated to social service degrees near the loop. Both the Adler School of Professional Psychology and the Institute for Clinical Social Work are within 1/2 mile of the Loop. The Institute provides researchers with the tools to advance the quality of clinical social work. The Adler School of Psychology provides master's and doctoral level courses in various aspects of psychology.
