How to Reference a Press Release in APA Style

American Psychological Association, or APA, style is commonly used in academia, along with Modern Language Association, or MLA, style. Each style has its own requirements for formatting references in a works cited page or bibliography. The process of referencing a book or journal publication is straightforward and common, as is referencing a press release, although you may not need to do so as often. Press releases are news releases issued by organizations, companies, individuals or agencies. They usually provide updates or noteworthy information.
