Community Colleges With Dorms

Continuing one's education can sometimes be difficult. Community colleges have helped ease both the emotional and financial burden that comes with attending college. Keeping colleges so close to home and providing students with campus housing helps make the transition from high school to college much smoother.
  1. North Country Community College

    • North Country is located in Saranac Lake, N.Y. It is associated with New York University. North Country has three residence halls that hold a total of 96 students. The dorms at North Country were constructed in 1998 and 2000. Residence charges include a meal plan for the on-campus cafeteria. The residence halls at North Country are divided into suites. The suites consist of four separate bedrooms. The rooms are designed to hold one person. There is a shared bathroom and living room.

    Cowley County Community College

    • Cowley County Community College is located in Arkansas City, Kan. It has five dormitories that house a total of 432 students. They are located close to the school's academic buildings, and students are given free parking. Dorm rooms hold two students, and most rooms have a private bathroom. Students in Cowley dorms have access to free cable and wireless Internet. Students receive a free membership to the campus wellness center. The dorms are protected with 24-hour security systems.

    Dawson Community College

    • Dawson Community College is located in Northeast Montana in a town called Glendive. Dawson has three residence halls. Dawson's on-campus housing units hold a total of 140 full-time students. The apartments at Dawson come fully furnished and offer students access to high-speed wireless Internet. Students in the Dawson apartments are required to purchase a meal plan that they can use to purchase food at the student center café on campus.

    College of the Redwoods

    • Eureka, Calif.,is the home of College of the Redwoods, which is a part of the Redwoods Community College District. There are two residence halls at Redwoods that hold a total of 160 students. Students that live on campus have access to a computer lab, on-site laundry facilities and a gym. They also receive free access to all Redwoods events.
