Record the name of the author of the segment or chapter of the book the editor collaborated, as well as the title. This is typically found in the beginning of the essay. For example, the book "Writing Well Enough," edited by Alan Smithee, has a chapter entitled "Constructing Text" by William Rutherford
Record the starting and ending pages of the chapter in question. For example, the starting page could be 15 and the ending page 21.
Find and note the publisher, date of publishing, and location (city and state) of the publisher. For example: Bantam Books, 2004, New York, NY.
Compile the information into your Works Cited Page as such:
Lastname, First name. "Title of Essay." Title of Collection. Ed. Editor's Name(s).
Place of Publication: Publisher, Year. Page range of entry. Medium of Publication.
Be sure to underline the title of the essay and italicize the name of the publication, and any part of the reference past the first line must "hang" underneath the first one as shown.
