Form a team with three to five people in your class. Instruct each person in the group to introduce himself to the team and identify strengths or talents that will help in the team project, such as public speaking, graphic design or research. Select one person to be the team's leader after all introductions have been made.
Identify the project objective and create a list of tasks that need to be executed in order to get the assignment done. Designate a job to each member of the team, according to her strengths and interests. Write each team member's job down on a sheet of paper, allowing her to be aware of who will execute each task.
Take note of each team member's availability schedule, to set up meet times that are convenient for the team as a whole. Exchange contact information, such as phone numbers and email addresses, permitting team members to contact each other when necessary.
Work on the class project at the specified time and location that was agreed upon. Meet at least three times before the class assignment is due, to perfect the project and work out any problems. During team meetings, rehearse presentations that will be performed in front of the classroom.
Make a checklist at the last meeting of items each team member will bring on the date of the presentation. Assign one person to call all team members the night before, as well as the date the project is due, to remind team members to bring all project items.
Meet 30 minutes before the start of class, if possible, to ensure that everything is in order, documents have been typed and computer presentations will function in class. Check off all items that have been brought by each team member, and speak to the professor if an item has been forgotten or a team member is unable to attend the presentation.
