    Porter and Chester Institute

    • The Porter and Chester Institute has several campuses in Connecticut and Massachusetts with programs for aspiring electricians. The electrician program at PCI trains students for commercial, industrial and residential environments. Students will learn electrical installation as well as the repair of motors, generators, transformers and controllers for CNC machines and robots. Students who graduate from Porter and Chester Institute will be ready to take their E-2 and L-6 licensing exams and enter the work force at an entry-level electrician job. Students attending classes during the day will complete the program in 12 months, while students attending evening classes will finish in 18 months.

    • WyoTech is a career institute with electrician trainings at its California campuses in Fremont, Long Beach and Sacramento.
