Meharry Medical College also offers postdoctoral residencies in general dentistry and oral and maxillofacial dentistry. Remington College has campuses in major cities around the country and grants degree and diploma programs focused on career-based technical training. This college offers two dental programs in dental assisting and dental hygiene. The Dental Assisting Diploma Program, which has eight modules and is available on six campuses, provides student training for entry-level positions as dental assistant. The program includes training in oral anatomy and oral radiology, and students can complete the program in as little as eight months. The school's associate degree in dental hygiene can be completed in 24 months and is offered on the Nashville campus.
