The Ocean County Vocational Technical School (OCVTS) offers two Culinary Arts programs: a program for students who have completed high school and one for students still enrolled in school. The After High School program can be completed within a year while the regular program takes a total of two years. Students who enroll in the Culinary Arts program learn skills, such as baking and food preparation in addition to kitchen safety. As of the 2010 school year, the cost of tuition for students in the After High School program is $3,500; however, OCVTS provides financial aid and scholarships for eligible students.

Students who complete Brookdale Community College's Culinary Arts program earn an Associates in Applied Science (AAS). Culinary Arts classes include lunch preparation, meat identification and seafood preparation, to name a few. The program is a total of 52 credit hours in length, and the total cost is $15,400. Tuition includes all books, uniforms and kitchen supplies. Culinary Arts applicants must have a diploma or GED.

The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College is accredited by the American Culinary Federation. Students can choose morning or evening classes. Three degree programs are offered at the school: Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, and Baking and Pastry. In addition, the school offers certificate programs in Catering and Hot Foods. The cost of tuition ranges between $572 to $857 per credit hour, depending on residency status. The cost of books and program supplies is separate; financial aid is available for qualified students.
