Schools for Nursing Assistants

Nursing assistants help care for patients in a number of settings, including hospitals and nursing homes. Becoming a nursing assistant can be a step toward becoming a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse, although being an assistant nurse is the goal for many. Regardless of the ambitions, nursing assistants are important members of a health care team. Nursing assistants must be trained and licensed by the state and are subject to physical examinations and background checks. According to the U.S Department of Labor, job prospects for nursing assistants are excellent.
