The California Nurses Education Institute is a one-hour and 25-minute drive from Temecula. Its program consists of 40 hours of theory courses and 40 hours of clinical experience. The program is eight weeks long. Individual wishing to register for classes are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, a clean background check and a personal interview with faculty. Upon completion of the program, the student receives a certificate of completion and is eligible to sit for the national certification exam.

The Complete Phlebotomy Training institute is in Sun City and is a 19-minute drive from Temecula. The phlebotomy program takes 80 to 84 hours to complete and is offered in weekend classes. Students must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent to register for the program. The national exam for certification is administered in the school at the completion of the program.

Mission Career College is a 47-minute drive from Temecula. It starts its phlebotomy program every six weeks. Individuals must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent and pass an entrance examination to begin the course. The course consists of 19 classes.

Palo Verde College is approximately three hours from Temecula. It awards a Certificate of Career Preparation to the graduates of its phlebotomy program. Students can register for the phlebotomy certificate courses only after they have completed the traditional or fast-track licensed vocational nursing program.
