The Academy of Healthcare Training provides instruction in phlebotomy to prepare students for careers as a phlebotomist technician. Graduates are suitable for employment in hospitals, reference laboratories, blood banks, physician offices, clinics, insurance companies as well as private phlebotomy services.

Stars Academy of Phlebotomy prepares students to take the National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certificate exam as well as the Certified Phlebotomy Technician exam; the cost of the exams are not covered in tuition.
Class size is small; limited to 10 students per class to allow for proper individualized attention. Sample courses in the program include clinical and lab procedures, bloodborne pathogens and capillary collections.
Applicants must provide a high school diploma or GED, driver's license and have an up-to-date tetanus shot.
